Wlm Shxpr (2016)
“Words, words, words! Don’t you see? Death is not the end.”
Wlm Shxpr is an original site-specific, production on the occasion of the bard’s 450th anniversary. On the entire grounds of the old brewery “Bürgerbräu” in Würzburg (Germany), audiences meet the three addressees of the sonnets who lead them to meet many of Shakespeare’s most famous characters, and also offer their very own take on the person Shakespeare. The sweet swan himself remains absent, but one thing is certain: Death is not the end. The production featured original music for a number of sonnets, as well as contemporary dance and performance.
