The Life and Death of
Osama bin Laden (2010)

“My father has a kind heart.”

The Life and Death of Osama Bin Laden is an original production that revolves around the eponymous villain. This Osama character is always absent and very hard to grasp in his many facets: a ruthless terrorist, a believer, a loving father and a media superstar. The play explores this icon through the fictitious voices of his wives, mother and children.

The play was devised by the company.

Performers: Helena Bennett, Julia Karl, Sara König, Barbara Lersch, Ilona Schröder, Anne Strauß, Sandra Vollmer, Janika Walter, Josefine Witt

Devising, dramaturgy, writing: Daniel Mogenroth, Philip Jacobi

Audience voices (selection):

“It felt like a kiss when he hit me … thank you for intelligent entertainment!”

“A piece like this cannot be judged after seeing it once; and I’m not gonna watch it again.”

“Great! I like that you take a look at what the media do not show us: the people behind the story.”
